On October 15, 2026, the Humanities Association for the academic year 2026–27 was inaugurated under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell by Mr. Azil Melwyn Castelino Asst. Prof. St. Mary’s College, Shirva.

Addressing the students, he urged them to set clear goals and persevere through difficulties on their journey to success. “Though stars are visible to us, they remain beyond our reach; yet, we can always strive to journey toward them. Problems will continuously exist among us, but in this marketplace of life’s opportunities, we must seize whatever comes our way. With genuine effort, nothing is impossible to achieve,” he remarked. He further added that success is defined by effort rather than failure, calling upon students to draw inspiration from iconic figures like Thomas Alva Edison, Abraham Lincoln and Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

Principal Dr. Manjunatha A. Kotian presided over the function. The event was graced by Student Welfare Officer Dr. Vijaya Kumari, Humanities Association Coordinator Prof. Suchithra K. and Student Secretaries Ms. Sridevi (Final Year B.A.) and Arin Miranda (B.A.).
