Smt. Suchitra HOD of department of History presented a paper titled “Jainism in Karkala with special reference to Mahamastakhabisheka” at the national seminar held at Mulki Sundar Ram Shetty College Shirva on 10th August 2019.

She also participated in the national seminar on “Rethinking Mahatma Gandhi- Issues and Challenges” held on 23th September 2019 organised by St.Agnes College, Mangalore.

She also participated in the one day workshop on “Core electives in History” held at Shree Gokarnanatheswar College, Mangalore on  19th August 2019.

She also attented Refresher course at HRDC Mysore from 20th December to 2nd January 2020

NSS

Two units are functioning under the National Service Scheme. 235 students have enroled their names under this scheme.

     Anoop III BSc, Shravya III Bcom, Sachin G.S II BA, Akshatha II Bcom have participated in the university level selection and leadership camp from 10th to 16th July 2019 at Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri.

     This academic year NSS activities are inaugurated by Sri Martis Nobert, the principal, Pre University College, kokradi. Followed by various other unique activities are organised for the volunteers such activities includes, on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti “Gandhi 150- cleaniness a little while” programme was organised on 27.07.2019 a programme was organised to provide awareness about agriculture among volunteers  and on 19.12.2019 “ Rain water harvesting” programme was organised to provide awareness regarding conserving  water. Our NSS volunteers Mr.Sachin, Mr. Sankesh, Miss. Shishira have attended a workshop on National AIDS awareness on 06.12.2019 to 07.12.2019.

     Annual special camp was conducted at Govt. Higher Primary School, Bondukumeri, Ajekar on 22.12.2019 to 28.12.2019 with participation of 100 students. Thanks to NSS Officers for managing the NSS units most effectively.

    Regular NSS Programmes which help the students for their personality development and other awareness programmes are conducted every Saturday.
