On 30 October 2026, the Human Rights and Religious Harmony Cell was inaugurated under the auspices of the IQAC.
Inaugurating the program, Smt. Shwetha Vipul Tej, an alumna of the college and an advocate from Karkala, addressed the gathering and stated, “Human rights are meant for the protection of every individual. Therefore, understanding and upholding human rights is everyone’s duty. It is also our responsibility to ensure that they are not violated and that no trouble is caused to others. Technology is working as a medium for exercising our rights; however, human rights must be exercised responsibly without harming personal dignity. Human rights offer strong protection for living independently and respectfully.”
Presiding over the event, Principal Dr. Manjunatha A. Kotian highlighted that all religions value knowledge and humanism, urging students to raise their voices against injustice and utilize campus platforms to build awareness.
Chief Operating Officer Sri Nandakishore K., and Humanities Association Coordinator Smt. Suchitra, along with student secretaries Final B.A. student Nikhil and Ms. Renuka, were present on the dais.
